Bible believing church connecting people to Jesus and to each other.

Our story

White church with a cross on its steeple, green roof, blue sky with clouds, and a parking lot in front.

The Fillmore Free Methodist Church is located in the peaceful valley of Fillmore, MN.

Here you will find the remaining structure of what once was a bustling town. The Fillmore Free Methodist Church had its roots in revival meetings in 1913 and has evolved into this beautiful facility with a large sanctuary, an inviting entry, a spacious kitchen, a community life center (gymnasium), and a welcoming fellowship hall.

The Worship is engaging with contemporary music, children’s church, and a message from the pastor filled with scriptures and stories in a most personal way.  Prayer is central to the worship.  Often, you will experience the warmth and love of the congregation before and after the service.  Gatherings for fellowship occur monthly with fun and food.

The congregation abides by their desire to be a church with open doors and open arms where everyone is welcome and have the opportunity to greet our pastor.  The church members are committed to the promises and truths as recorded in the Scriptures.  Check us out on Facebook at Fillmore Church and experience worship from a personal perspective, then come and visit us.

What We Believe

God: We believe in One Living God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Scriptures: We believe in the authority of God’s Word over our lives.

Humankind: We believe humankind are created in the image of God as free moral persons.

Salvation: We believe that new life in Christ free from guilt and penalty of sin is given to all who believe.

The Church: We believe in The Church. The people of God who exist to fulfill the purpose of God in Christ.

Last Things: We believe in the kingdom of God established now in the hearts of believers, the return of Christ, at a time chosen by the Father, and our hope in the resurrection and eternal glory.

Five Values That Shape Our Identity

Life-Giving Holiness

GOD’s call to holiness was never meant to be a burden but a gift that liberates us for life that is truly life by delivering us from the destructive power of sin.

Cross-Cultural Collaboration

From the beginning, God’s intent was to have a people from every nation, culture, ethnicity, united in Christ and commissioned to carry out His work in the world.

Christ Compelled Multiplication

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the message He proclaimed, the life He lived, and the ministry He modeled set into motion a redemptive movement destined to fill the whole earth.

Life-Giving Holiness

GOD’s call to holiness was never meant to be a burden but a gift that liberates us for life that is truly life by delivering us from the destructive power of sin.

Love-Driven Justice

Love is the way we demonstrate God’s heart for justice by valuing the image of God in all men, women and children, acting with compassion toward the oppressed, resisting oppression, and stewarding Creation
